The main focus of my
practice is helping young adults, as well as
children and their parent(s) gain the necessary insights and skills
to be successful with handling various life challenges in the
home, school, and community. I work with adults
individually, while my interventions with children are presented
in individual, group,
and/or family settings. Occasionally,
it is in the family’s best interest that I work with the parents
alone, and this can be done in individual sessions or small group
parenting classes.
When working with children, I believe that it takes a village to raise a child and help him
or her become a healthy and happy member of our society . The village is made up of everyone who
interacts with your child and shapes their development; including parents, extended family,
nannies, teachers, coaches, doctors, etc.

In my practice I emphasize a collaborative approach
and focus on including all individuals who parents feel will promote
their child’s development.
I am passionate about helping parents and their children (of any
age), live happy and fulfilling lives. Because no two children are
alike, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches that have been
scientifically proven to help treat specific problems. Additionally,
I specialize in evaluating and working individually and in social
skills groups with children and adolescents with developmental
disabilities, |

including Autism Spectrum Disorders (e.g.,
Autism, Asperger’s, Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise
Specified), Mental Retardation, and others.
When necessary, I stress the importance of school
consultations and behavioral plans to help increase the child's
success across various settings. I also provide psychological
testing.
I would be honored to be a member of your child’s village, and
take great responsibility in helping you and your child grow and
succeed in your world! |
